Time is fleeting
Time is fleeting….
So friends…..
As I stand before you today ,
I think of what I should say…
The salad days when my life had just begun?
The giggles? The tears? The laughter? The fun?
In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Under the Snow.”
You were caught in an avalanche. To be rescued, you need to make it through the night. What thought(s) would give you the strength to go through such a scary, dangerous situation?
As on my cold and freezing bed I lie
My life flashes before my inward eye
I see me in a cozy house waving bye
To my mom as off to my school I fly
My sisters, my first best friends, and I
Weaving together, a colored tapestry.

Finite Creatures: At what age did you realize you were not immortal? How did you react to that discovery?
I think I always knew that we are all mortal. I am not afraid of death per se. I know that life as we know and live it will cease one day. As a doctor I also know the wear and tear that we inflict on our bodies and minds as well.
Having said that, I am afraid to just exist and stop living. To me, mortality is to stop living, stop feeling, losing intensity, losing the passion for living…. Continue reading
This is a picture very dear to me. Its my daughter on horseback taking part in a tournament where she was the youngest participant and the only girl. A proud moment in her young life. And mine.
The play of light capturing her against the sky is something that captured all the hearts of the entire family. A favorite pic…….
