Primp to Wimp

A short story…

I came out of the beauty salon today,

All primped and pampered, so to say….

Entered the house and took a lil stance

Waited for my hubby to look askance.

Hey, I said -hopefully huskily- How do I look?

Wow!! He said not looking up from his book!

Hey Honey, That’s a beautiful dress!

(Of my ten year old “fresh-from-press”)

So much for the primping….

So much for the coiffing!

So much for the colouring,

So much for the pampering!
