Carefree, joyful, laughing in abandon
A child’s eyes widening in admiration
Oh Childhood, where art thou
Why do you forsake me now!
****
Simple joys, simple wants and simple needs
Carefree spirit, carefree love and carefree seeds
Planted in young minds, sprouting in the spring of life
Making carefree friendships, carefree laughter minus strife
****
Come adulthood, every relationship has a reason
Even friends come and go in every season
Careful preparations, careful aspirations, even careful inspirations!
Carefree is but a word, forgotten in everyday ministrations!
****
Oh Childhood, where art thou
Why do you forsake me now!
Come back, come back, let me smile
The carefree smile, it’s been awhile!
In response to Daily Prompt:
You have managed to keep a lot of ‘carefreeness’ in you even now … makes you the person you are!!

Even I miss childhood at times, when life seemed more carefree than it is now. 🙂 Nice poem.
