A loving Feast

She sees the feast laid out

and waits for  but a morsel

From his table

He sees the want

the imploring eyes

In her face

Then turns away

Yes, he’s had a feast

At her table

But that was then

and Now is now

In their lives

There’s not  a morsel

to spare from

his opulent feast

The spark in her eyes

dies down as she

turns to leave

There’s no want, no need

no zest, no joie de vivre

No spark, no life

As a barren path beckons

the bruised n battered

Heart moves on

A tale of many broken hearts … narrated so well.
