 Prompt: To-Do? Done!

Quickly list five things you’d like to change in your life. Now, write a post about a day in your life once all five have been crossed off your to-do list.

I was sitting in my favorite corner the other day, and doing what I do best – “flashbacking ” my life …

I had always hoped for these things in my life..

1. To be beautiful….inside AND outside!

2. To never lie and never be lied to.

3. To never hurt and never be hurt

4. To be able to help everyone I would like to

5. To be able to make a difference to the people my little world as well as the lives I touch in life.

As I absently rubbed the little statue of Ganesha on my bedside table,

a light seemed to emanate from it and lo and behold – my favorite God was before me!

“Tathastu”, he said and disappeared. Which meant “So be it”!

Ta-Da!!  There I was a beautiful lady with a beautiful heart! What a combo!

I woke up with a smile on my face and the smile was reflected on every face I met. I had the power!! I was the female version of Jim Carrey, I was “Aruna Almighty” for  a day…What fun!

I smiled at the image in my mirror – Stranger maybe but I liked what I saw!

I skipped and danced my way through work at home.

I reached my hospital well in time  and I  could diagnose and heal every patient I saw in my OPD. No delays,  no tears, no failures, no disappointments. Only happy smiles and thank-you’s! Miraculous hands!!

I could discipline my children yet never disappoint them. We ironed out our Gen Gap  differences and became Best Friends Forever.  They realise their dreams and aspirations and yet we have fun together.

I could  greet my husband, do everything we wanted to , together. There was no argument , no hurt , no lies, white or otherwise. Roses , roses all the way….In Tandem!!  Oooh!

Fun n laughter , joy and happiness, peace and love, blessings and wishes……. what a wonderful world!!!
