New Wrinkles
You wake up one day and realize you’re ten years older than you were the previous night. Beyond the initial shock, how does this development change your life plans?
Being at an age where new wrinkles are nothing new.. that would not faze me…. But being 10 years older in the matter of a single night…wow!
Maybe I will be more mellow..
Maybe I will react less…
Maybe I will love less intensely…
Maybe I will be less sensitive…
Maybe I will have less to worry about me and mine…
Maybe I will have made my peace with my mistakes..
Maybe I will have more friends…
Maybe my kids will be settled and I enjoy them even more..
Maybe I will have a couple of grandkids as well
Maybe I will go around the world in 80 days!
Maybe I could take a trip to the moon…
Maybe I would fall in love again….
Maybe the twilight years would have set in and I would be a calmer wiser more beautiful inside person…
Come to think of it, not a bad idea at all……….. let me get to sleep soon and wake up as Ms Rip Van Vinkle….
But whatever happens I will be ” ME “…my heart and mind will be me and so will be my wrinkles….
Wrinkles only show I have character….they only show
I have laughed
I have cried
I have loved
I have worried
I have “lived “
They are my rewards not curse…so “please don’t retouch them, I have earned them”…quote unquote Anna Magnani…
